    Hey all,

Just a couple more weeks to the opener here in MN and I’m sure guys are starting to think about their opening day destinations. I’ve been kicking around the idea of hitting Mille Lacs on the opener and I’d like to start the day (we’d start at 12:01 AM actually) trolling a certain sand to rock transition with sticks. Where is everyone headed… and how will you start the 2007 walleye season? Rigging, trolling, bobbering?

I’ll be at Gorman lake in southern Minnesota rigging & trolling. Unless the much better half changes my mind.

I’ll be at or near the sand on Mille Lacs. I’m especially looking forward this year to having my son, Tyler up for his 1st opener.

Mille Lacs at Midnight. Some east side rock pile watching a lighted slip bobber go down.

James, good luck trolling! Look out for those 100-200 foot anchor ropes in 5 feet of water!

I think I’ll be OK where I’m heading. Not your classic night bobbering spot by any means.

Let us not forget the St. Louis River, depending on wind forecasts I will be there or on Mille Lacs. NE side working the sand and playing bumper boats.

Not positive, but Saturday Morning Lindy Rigging on Minnewawa up in McGregor, then in the evening either repeat the morning or go corking w/ bobbers on Mille Lacs for some good ol’ fun. Then Trolling & Rigging Mille Lacs on Sunday.

    I’m pumped!

Won’t be going fishing on opening day (saturday)… My daughter has a horse show that day. Things I do for the love of a daughter.

Sunday, on the other hand… will be on Clearwater and Augusta. Trolling, slip-bobber, and casting cranks/plastics on weedline/dropoff transitions.

I’ll be up on Lake Alexander as for what I’ll be doing, I’ll figure that out when they start biting, and decide they don’t want to stop biting what ever it is that is on my line at that point.
