The walleyes in the lake are of put-and-take variety and one gets caught every now and again.

Crappies can be found in the entire lake at one time of the year or another. Summer/winter look towards the deeper areas, spring/fall shallower waters will have a lot of fish.

    Saturday Zumbro was “No Wake”…

So i launched at the public access. Didn’t see any high water/no wake signs.
Buzzed through the entire lake to get to the river. (Never been beyone fisherman’s inn). Went as far up river as i wanted to with a prop and came back several hours later. (Caught several cats, suckers, and sheephead; Cats going on cut sheephead, worms, fatheads…)

End of the day i can flying back up the river and saw a floating sign that said “Entire lake NO WAKE”…Spent the next hour or so putzing back to the landing.

    FYI, NO WAKE.

DIdn’t see any signs at the landing when i loaded up

I also ran across this ??? While putzing back to the landing.

Don’t know what it is, but it’s big…and the fish around it did NOT want to bite!

You can check this site out to see if there are restrictions on the lake before you even leave the house.

I was there this morning and I did see the float at the end of Postier’s Point. Volunteers put those pontoons out and don’t always get them off when the restrictions expire.

Fishing wasn’t bad either. I caught about 35 crappies in three hours. The wind really stunk and it kept me off some good haunts that crappies seem to like early pre-spawn.

No smallies today so the ice out festivities are over on the lake.

The bite was all plastic. Fun time but windy.
