It has been a tight lipped couple of days this past weekend… I have been pulling wire in the gravel on the weekends and even though the time is right, the water temp is still on the cool side… That and the roller coaster weather system we have been getting has made the bite for my boat a little on the slight side..

in the mornings the stick baits like the #9 and #11 Original Floating Rapalas have been the baits of choice…and by the mid afternoon the Rapala J-7’s have been the more productive baits…

Mother nature is going to be a real…..crazy woman… this next week and i would expect to see the river come up and bring a lot of the island crud down with it… and it was just looking good… Oh well… I’ll still be hitting the river again the end of next week…

good luck out there and be safe as the high water can be very dangerous,,,

Thanks for sharing Dave. Hopefully I can get my boat back soon so I can get out. I’m getting a little crazy waiting to get out.
