Tom – going to need more of the pink ones we got off you on Monday! Man did they put some fish over the rail – we kept this one on all day and landed two of our biggest walleye on them.
I see what you mean by bright and translucent Tom….so the smallies do not know what is good for them…Oh yeah, Walleyes were crazy for the muted color(s) to.
Well Dave….its not doable. Not without some real heavy duty tinkering with the molds vents. And that ain’t happen’n. lol That chartreuse tail piece created just enough resistance so that the flow of plastic slowed enough all but stop it from picking up and moving the colorant. The tail area of the body needs to be vented better than the mold is to allow that sort of flow. Nice idea though.
A plain bait color with a line can be done and I have a few of those but the separate taiol color is the onus in getting line colors in the body.
Here are a few others I toyed with. The interesting part of working with the plastic in this way is that there is no way to predict the outcome of each shot. The top plastic starts with chartreuse, picks up the orange and ends with the chartreuse as a tail core color. Crazy.
