WI River – DuBay and Stevens Point dams?

As much as I have fished DuBay, Ive never hit any of the dams down river. Anyone here frequent any of them and curious to know what hazzards are present. I’ve been told they tend to be shallower/rocky areas from the launch up. Anyways, now that I have a daughter at point, I thought it would make for some good “study time” to run up and get her on water this spring. If anyone would mind sharing some info, shoot me a PM please.

I have fished the Dubay, Rothschild and Mosinee dams, but only from shore. Excellent fishing….boats have to be careful now because the water runoff makes very fast currents and sometimes causes a strong undertow. Almost every year we lose a boater or two who get too close to the dam and get pulled under. Hopefully a boater can give you better info. Although waders give you access to some very good off shore fishing!
