Wondering if anybody has found a good tool or a good way to tune in flicker shads?? Rarely do I find one right out of the box the runs straight. Even after a fish or two they seem to need a slight tune.

Is there a crankbait tuning tool you can use somebody could recommend?? I currently use a small needle nose pliers but there has to be a better way.

Rapala line clipper. Little black one, rounded handles, line pick and blade. Notches on the rounded work on the recezsed eyelets.

I just use a small pair of fishing pliers. The key is tiny increments of movement. You don’t wanna see the eyelet move, because usually that’s too much. That’s my biggest complaint about Flickers; sometimes I’m taking way too much time tuning them. But, gotta say, once tuned, they are truly lights out.

Change the split rings to oval ones. Seems like the split ring always rotates until the split is on the eye and then they are a pain to tune.

I used to see that Reef Runner tool all over the place, now I never see it. Wouldn’t mind getting one.
