Last year this full moon was the best walleye shorefishing I had to date. Seems the water was a bit cooler than it is now and since I haven’t been able to get out to see for myself what kind of conditions are you guys seeing out there? Trying to determine if ol marble eyes has started its migration back up the river yet or this elongated spring has them layed back still. Either way come Thursday night I will be drowning some shiners some where, whether its more mid river getting them in transition or at the dam. Thanks guys.

My buddy got a deer yesterday with his bow that still had full velvet, not much of a hunter myself but thought most lose that by first week of Sept. Sign to me possibly mother nature might be behind schedule a couple weeks.

The October moon was much better for me last year. The river has been slower in general for me this year. I have spent a little time on the banks the last couple of nights under the moon. I have not caught a walleye, but have gotten some real nice smallies. My 2 biggest smallmouths of the summer have come in the last 2 nights. These long cool nights should get things rolling pretty fast now.

Looking at some data the equinox last year was the 22nd with the full harvest moon being on the 30th. So it was further along, maybe I’ll be concentrating efforts a lil bit further down from the dam this year now.
