    Hello

Some good friends and I are going to take a walleye trip the end of Sept for 5 days/4 nights. We would like to keep it within 10 hours of home (western WI) and Canada IS an option. Where would you go?!

    Thanks

ERIE, bite should be good in Vermillion, with the pods of huge fish within 15-30 mile drive. I sure wish I could get back over there.

Waubay SD area, great Jumbo Perch fishing plus Walleye and Northern. Close drive, cheap licenses, no restrictions on bait , beer, or food. Also more liberal limits on fish.

Lotw would lead my list…… It is my go-to for a reliable chance for lots of fish and a chance at a big one.

I would second lake despair for good walleye action.. but to get some good size fish you need to know where to fish..

the lake is a busy lake with anglers but very scenic with a couple mechanical boat portages you can end up boating in to 9 differnt big lakes.

it would be a good choice! as would all the others mentioned so far.. to many good places to choose from makes it hard.. kinda like pickin what deer stand to sit in on any given night!

good luck where ever ya go.. if ya go to lake despair my folks owned the resort next to bill and nells and i would be happy to point ya in the right direction on places to fish!
