Does anyone know if this color exists through reef runner or any custom shops out there. I am going to Erie in april and one of the guys said we need some of these. I have heard from others that this color is a unicorn and does not exist. Any help is greatly appreciated? -Q
It’s listed as #59 on this color chart. I believe this is the website that most of the Erie guys get their RR’s from. Hope this helps, good luck.
You can make the lures that color if you pick up ones that are gold plated. Just run a strip of tape down the center of the bait, top and bottom, from front to rear and give the outside edges a shot of fluorescent orange spray paint.
Instant monkey puke. Good lake trout color too.
Monkey Puke was the color of choice when we were pulling spoons on Erie in 05. I still hear about it every summer/fall.

A couple of guys I knew while I was in Kenosha were running monkey puke for spoons for early trout and salmon in the Milwaukee area…
