Jigs. Vertical for eaters. Pitchin’ for trophies and draggin for both.

Although I think pitchin’ blades would be a hoot if I could ever get the hang of it.

I voted raps but obviously this is a speicioust thred!

my vote would go for a glide bait.. or jerk bait..

winter time is all walleyes for me on pool 4 but the rest of the year my time on pool 4 is spent chasing much larger fish!!!

walleyes in the summer are nothing more than a glorified carp!

Tie for me between blades and jigs… I strongly dislike trolling (especially with Lenny in the boat )

They are all part of the arsenal and have their time and place. All depends on the time of year

No love for pulling lead? In that case, I choose ALL OF THE ABOVE….that’s always a choice on a test, right?

For me it really depends on the time of year.

Lindy rig with bait. Nothing better then a thump of fish on a willow cat while fishing a wingdam.

    Makes me dream of summer

as previously stated, they all have their place and time. I enjoy dragging jigs the most.

Jiggin is the most fun. Who doesn’t like to feel the whack, then reef into a fish?
That doesn’t mean it is always the best way to catch them though. Gotta know and love em all I guess!

I enjoy pitching the most. I have gotten the hang of blades the past 2 years and really enjoy that but jigs and plastics is right up there on Pool 4. But in the end I enjoy catching fish so with my little oppurtunity to be on the water the method that is catching outways my most enjoyable form of fishing.

I still do enjoy tying up to snag and vertical jigging or using a dork rig, while enjoying a beverage and the sunlight.

I enjoy pitching blades the most but it is hard to not like three way or long line trolling and hearing that drag just SCREAM.

Most of the time, I am not really keying on anything specific. With a jig, I have caught 13 different species of fish on the river. I do enjoy using the three-ways when on the Alma Float or Dresbach Floats, or in spots where the jig just doesn’t seem to cut it. It’s just fun being on the River!

Where’s Night Time Crank’n????? I like what ever a fish is going to declare “MINE!” and EAT. Not a whimpy tick or tug, but that thump’n-roll on a bait where you think they are gonna rip a rod out of your hand. I only have been fishing lower end of 4, but it doesn’t matter if your on P-1 or Pool 14. When the crank bite heats up at about 39 degrees, it’s hard to resist a walleye that will rise up from 16 feet of water to hit a crank that is only a few feet down. Or better yet, when they go airborne chasing a bait out of the water.
