2013 Minnesota opener (5/13 actual date)
Bite wasn’t on fire by any means but the fish were quality fish. The first 2 pics were a double so I got to reel one in. Can’t wait to get back on the water

My buddy Dave nailed this 28 1/4″ last Monday on a Flicker. I was very happy to net it for him!

Matt Siuda caught his PB sauger last weekend while fishing from my boat. The picture just doesn’t do this 22-1/4″ sauger justice.
    Congrats Matt!

Luke Johnson also caught his PB walleye last weekend while fishing from my boat.
This time I believe the picture did a pretty good job of capturing just how nice a fish this walleye was.

    Congrats Matt!

What’s the length on the walleye?

Pictured below is my girlfriend posing with a 24″ walleye, her personal best, while fishing with slip bobbers and leeches in 5 FOW. She was quite excited when I was finally able to hand land the fish after multiple runs under the dock

    That’s a really nice 27″

The camera must add a few inches cause I was thinking more like 30″ when I first saw it.

It’s always a guessing game when trying to judge the size of a fish from a picture. Some pictures turn out great and make a fish look great and other shots do just the opposite.

Experience taking fish pictures really helps a lot but even with that, you never really know what you got until you see the picture on your computer.

This fish was a really, really nice 27 incher. Very wide across the back.

I sport scruff because it makes me at least kind of look like a sportsman.

I just do it cause it makes me look less like a 12 year old boy

But I’ll use your answer next time somebody gives me some crap about the scruff

A handful of big Nebraska saugers. All of them but Mom’s were Master Anglers, and hers was less than a half inch away. Both of Dad’s were 21 3/4″, and mine was right at 21. Hope to get out and get a few more this month. It’s crazy how they wait for the extreme heat to chomp down.

Another couple of nice central NE canal saugers that went 22 1/4″ and 20 7/8″ respectively. They’re really on the chew right now.

She has turned into quite the troller. She jumps at the rods before I even get outta my seat.

Tagged fish….sure hope I get one of those someday!
