Do anyone have any experience with these Gary Loomis rods? I see Reeds has them buy one get one free price seems to be right.

I bought one last year and I love it. I usualy fish with rods in the $100 price point like St.Croix Premiers or Fenwicks in that range but the T.F.O’s are even better blanks imo. The only thing I would complain about is that the cork is a little too round for my hand. Great rods though. I was told that reed’s bought a whole pile of them from T.F.O. cheap because they are changing the colors and graphics on the new ones.

Thanks for the input, I have been slowly climbing up the fenwick ladder but I’m up to try something new. Now I have to decide what two to get.

I picked up a flippin’ stick and a 7′ med spinning rod for pitching jigs and swimbaits for ‘eyes. Free hat too. Great deal.

I grabbed two 7′ med spinning rods as well, ones going to my dad. I think I am going to pair it with a Pflueger Supreme.

You will like them I’m sure. At first I wondered about the extra line guides and how close they get to the rod blank. Then I watched fishing with joe bucher the other weekend. He was fishing with a rep. from St.Croix and he explained why they were going to this exact same setup on their new Rage rods. He claimed that the extra guides gives more feel and actualy decreases line friction. Go figure.

Dang, got a call from Reed’s yesterday saying they are out of the 7′ Med. I had them cancel the order for now.

Thanks for the head’s up! Great deal. I’ve got one that I think is a great rod for $100. Two-for-one, though? Awesome.

What two did you go with? I still haven’t decided.

Well, I don’t know jack about walleye fishing, so I can’t offer any suggestions there. I have had a 7′ ML spinning rod for two years now that I like. I ordered a 7′ L spinning for panfish and a 7′ MH casting for bass.

Aside from one of the rods being a spinning rod instead of the casting rod I ordered , they look good. I’ll have to make a call to get things straightened out.

Reeds always has some great deals, I wish they had a store in the metro! I picked up a few of these, have not used them yet. Last summer I picked up two Jason Mitchell 12ft trolling rods that were 2 for 1, I absolutely love them!
