Hey guys I am looking at having some shad raps, flicker shads, and blades custom painted. Just wondering if you guys have any ideas of who to use. Thanks for the help guys

Jim @ Downriver Tackle does fantastic work at a very reasonable price.

I’ve had him do close to 50 crankbaits over the past couple years and I have been very happy with his work.

Dwain Batey at Bait Werks. He has done countless custom lures for me, and he has been featured in many magazines, Field and Stream for one. Bait Werks

    No problem!

Do yourself a favor and give Jim a call. I learned a lot about the painting process by spending 10 minutes on the phone with him. Long story short he spends the extra money by using quality paints, and the durability of the end product definetly reflects that.

Hey guys thanks for all the replies. I looked at great lakes custom tackle. Can you send him lures and have him paint them for you or just buy his stuff he has already painted. I didn’t see anything on his website about this. Also do you guys think custom painted flicker shads and shad raps are worth 11 dollars a piece. To me that seems really high. Thanks again guys

My guy at Baitwerks does 9 dollars a bait for 3 or more baits. He’s really good and can do any pattern you want… just sayin’
