    I heard Scheels rods are St. Croix blanks. Have 2 myself, excellent value imho.
    I also have a Fenwick that is a sweetheart but a little slow, the 6’3″ mxf avid is a good stick as well.

    Should have explained, apologies. I broke the loomis and a fenwick tip. My fault on both. Placed them in the wrong spot in a hurry and paid for it.

    gotcha. I have a couple scheels brand ice rods that have been pretty solid. I just cant get myself to drop $100+ on a store brand rod. I dont know why…
