Has anybody else read the walleye radio telemetry study done by the DNR on P4 back in 98 and 99? After reading this I just couldn’t avoid a trip to the lake in search of these fall walleyes. Study at http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/publications/fisheries/investigational_reports/482.pdf
So we fished the areas marked on maps contained in this study for fall from about 9:00am to 2:00pm last Saturday and absolutly nothing but some stripers and a perch. Then on to Point No Point per the study and only found some really nice crappies from 3:00pm to dark.
Is finding these walleyes on the lake looking for a need in a hay stack this time of year. I had a lot of faith in this study but we were one of maybe 6 boats on the lake while I know many more on the river section above.
What are your thoughts? Thanks
