Lake Pokegama is still producing some Big Eyes…Rigs and spinners seem to be working with crawlers, find the structure and find the fish. Heard of some anglers using jigging spoons on deep water reefs and doing well…Went to Trout Lake tonight for about an hour found some fish but no takers; then left quickly before the 70 mph winds hit the area. Trees and power lines down all over, boats and water toys missing, some boats upside down on area lakes…Pretty nasty stuff!!!

I pulled cranks the other night on Pokeg – I’m ashamed to admit that it was first time out there this summer. Too much baseball/work/home remodeling…

Picked up a couple of eaters and they were in the usual places. With the water level being 3-4 feet above normal, it was interesting to see where they would be holding.

It was wild. Watched my boat lift, which didn’t have my boat on it due to the high water, flip over and float away
at a high rate of speed. Luckily it righted itself about 100 yards away and didn’t do any damage to the neighbor’s
    stuff.
Saw alot of stuff floating around shortly after the storm.
Swim rafts, water trampolines, and a yard swing to name a few.
Lot of tree debris as well so keep an eye out for floating
    timber.
Needless to say the summer vacay is going to be alot of work in the heat. At least the power has been restored so the beer will be cold!!

In an odd way, the high water levels on Pokegama probably saved a lot of potential damage…not very many boats are in the lifts to be tossed about.

Mother Nature didn’t seem to heed the wake restrictions.

I am really curious to get out on the lake and see how much damage the winds really did. I don’t think it should have affected the fishing a whole lot since it really didn’t last that long and its just as hot as it was yesterday. Can’t believe I am going to even say it, but I can’t wait to see some upper 70 to lower 80 degree weather.
