We got back from a week on Kab last night, what a beautiful place. The problem was the biggest mayfly hatch I have ever seen was taking place. It was not great for the bite. We did catch fish every day, but we had to work for them. If you did catch a fish they were puking up big wads of flys. We did find a pretty good program fishing mid-lake reefs with leeches on rigs. The most productive depths were form 26 to 32 ft.The key was finding small reefs that were not getting pummeled like the main lake reefs. I was lucky enough to find a few spots I had to myself all week. The highlight of the week was my son catching his P.B walleye of 26 inches. I can’t wait for next year. Thanks to the staff of Harmony Beach resort for making it an enjoyable week, as always. Here are a few pic’s of our vacation.

Great picture of your son. Used to stay at Harmony Beach resort when Tim Watson had it. Who is there now?

Isn’t Harmony right next to Idlewild?? Been going to Idlewild since ’55…
Would love to talk Kabe with you. Last trip it seemed to only yield bass…

It is between Pine Air and Driftwood. Just a little east from you. The bass bite was a little slow for us this year I think they were full of Mayflies also.
