Anyone been out on Lake Wisconsin lately? I was out last Saturday and the fishing was slow to say the least. Caught many small sauger and a 2 white bass. Fishing the river, mouth and main lake. Trolling cranks,3 ways with crawlers/leech, and jigging. Any ideas on what the deal is with quality fish MIA?
I fished it quite a bit before I left for Israel and had a hard time finding quality fish. Quantity was not a problem. I was probably averaging 60+ fish per trip with only a couple keepers and a couple slot fish. Not sure what the deal is, but I’m hoping it changes by the time I get back in early June. I’m guessing the early warmup followed by the extended period of cold water in April changed the normal post spawn patterns.
