    Wanted to go to Marinette, but $4.10 gas was discouraging…
    The Wi/Mi border waters are open for a 1 fish bag limit until the Wi opener…
    Tried the Menominee/Paint River confluence this morning…water temps 49.7. Caught five 13-15″ males…all released… I believe the females have moved up toward the headwater areas (no early season there) already. Earliest I can remember…
    Small blades, TX Minnows, and Hair jigs/meat all worked equally well…missed more than I caught. It was a beautiful day with no other boats until I left at noon…

    Nice report Tom, I’m heading up to the Wolf on Monday to see if we can get some post spawners coming back..
