Flying Carp caught by Winona..

    Well it was a matter of time before Tim would net one of these fish. First one in this area. I dont know what this means to the area but It could be real bad. What is everyones take on these fish???

    The big one is a bighead carp.

    I believe it is the Bighead Asian Carp that they also caught, along with a Grass carp and the Silver.

    I have not heard of any in are Pool #14 but Iam sure that they are here also. If there are any I hope they keep on moving. I for one do not want to see them here. We all have seen the picture of them fly though the air and the damage they can do.

    The danger to people driving is probably the only thing I am really upset about. I mean they are here, so its time to except it.

    Rivers are very healthy diverse ecosystem. I hope the impact is minimal and personally I think hope is all we got.

    I’d be more upset with a predatory fish. Like I said, rivers are rich, diverse bodies of water. Hopefully the impact on gamefish fry is minimal. Hopefully there is enough plankton to go around and/or the silver carp feed in areas fry don’t.
