new power pro super 8 slick?

    I think this stuff is fairly new. Cant find much on it. Anybody have amy experience with it? Is it shimanos answer to mano. I only ask.that bases on the super slick name and nano being….super slick. I’m headed up.to cabelas next weekend and thought about getting some high his yellow but I can only find it in 10lb and over. No 6 or 8. Thoughts?

    Did a little bit of research on the line diameter and it looks like some good stuff. Since this new PP8 slick comes in 10lb at the lowest, i compared 3 different lines in 10lb.

    Nanofil 10lb -.007
    suffix 832 10lb – .008
    PP8 10lb – .006

    seems smaller and hopefully just a strong. It’s supposed to be more abrasion resistant than previous PP so I guess i’ll pick some up in 10lb high vis yellow at cabellas this weekend. can’t really go wrong with PP anyway…

    Picked up the 10lb high bis yellow and was out for acouple hours with it tonight. I’m using a 69 mlxf avid with a stratic 1000. Line was very smooth and much stronger than nano. Didn’t notice any fraying which was surprising since i was in rocks. Very sensitive stuff, too.
