PP hi-viz

Got some 10# power pro yellow today for jigging. My questions is, do you guys tie your jig directly to the line or use a leader?

I tie right to the jig and use a polymer knot

X2 luv it polmer knot keep a hook sharpener I tend to bend hooks I load rod tip and pop it on snags

Thanks, I’ll give it a go without then switch to a leader if nothing is happening. Love PP 10#, just never used hi-viz. We’ll find out how it is tomorrow.

If you are pitching to a lot of rock and rip rap i feel a leader is almost a must on the river. Zebra muscles vs braid….zebra wins all the time. If there isn’t a ton of rock or rip rap then i tie direct

Those worms and the zoom tiny fluke were my best baits this year. They absolutely crushed them.

I love hi vis PP for many different things. I think the lighter stuff knots too easily for me. I run 15# or 20#. I do like the palomar knot. I use hi vis on the river and have never found the fish are shy to it. Maybe on crystal clear lake but fish have a brain the size of a Pea.

I used it today, got to fish about 5 minutes before they opened the lock and blew us out for no reason what so ever. Caught a little white bass and he hit it hard, so I guess he didnt see the line.

The 40 I caught today didnt seem to mind the yellow line, im sold. yellow line from now on.
