    Was out from about noon to 4:30–fair bite today with lots of small fish. Bite picked up around 3:00 and size did also. Paddle-tails still seem to be killing the ring-worms–can’t really understand why since last year it was ring-worms all the way for me. Most of my nice fish were dragging. Need to get away from the “Y” to get quality fish.

    They are pretty well picked over by the Y as that’s where the majority of boats are fishing. The better fish I took yesterday, came from 15′ of water-some of them below the first wing damn heading up to the dam and some down river much farther.

    Although the snaugers are moving towards the dam, remember that’s only 1/6th the area that holds fish from the head of the lake up.

    Exactly! The sauger numbers are low this year. Stay home and eat tuna.
