just a general question about the tips on these rods and how the differ. thanks to all your input, i purchased an avid 69mlxf and love it. i was just nosing around the upgrade program on the site and noticed that the LTW doesn’t have a mlxf but the LTB does in a 610mlxf. i’ve read that the tips can vary from walleye to bass rods but was hoping for some expert opinions. i probably will just save coin and get the legend extreme in 69mlxf in a year or so but was just curious. thanks.

Don’t know if there is a difference or what it is…But I have a 6’9″ MLXF legend bass(couple years old) and love it for eye fishing. The only problem I have with it is that it says bass on it.

The service guys at St. Croix told me there is no difference in actions between the 2012 LTBS and the LTWS rods. That may be why they dropped the 69MLXF from the Walleye line up…

I have a 2012 LTBS 68MXF and it feels the same as my other LTWS 68MXFs…except new guides, handle, NSI etc…

You WILL feel a difference when you fish the Legend Extreme…when Dean used to test drive those, he knew he wouldn’t have to do ANY selling…they sell themselves!

What should i expect when upgrading in feel or sensivity? Do the lt blow avids away?

In my opinion YES!! Avids are great, but as already stated, the Legend extremes sell themselves

I have a 2011 LTWS and love it for going after eyes. I have never fished with a legend elite so I can’t compare my legend tournament to that rod, but I feel as though I can feel everything that my jig is doing with my LTWS; particularly when I am using braid.

between the construction of the high modulus blanks coupled with the near weightless titanium Recoil guides, the Legend Extremes are the most sensitive rods on the planet, along with the new Loomis NRX series…
