Got out early Saturday afternoon with Trav and my old lady to enjoy the beautiful weather, and to try to get a few ‘eyes on the end of our lines on a new lake! We were successful in finding them, eventually…., and managed a pretty steady bite for the last hour and a half of the day. My main goal was to get the wife her first walleye, and she did better than that-taking the big fish of day (no tape with, so no measurements), along with a handful of other fat healthy fish. All fish caught were between 17-25″, and all taken on HJ12’s or SR7’s in 10-4fow. Was a great day out on the water! Bring on the ICE!!!

Not much better picture then a golden walleye, unless it’s of your wife and a golden walleye!

    Nice Job!

Most of them were caught on X-RapSR #5’s and Husky Jerk #10’s and 12’s, and pretty much hit every color. The most productive seemed to be Firetiger and the white/glass translucent pattern early on, and then she had the hot bait later on with a #12 glass husky jerk. We were trolling right up against the shoreline real slow, or pitching at the shoreline with a slow retrieve.

The fish couldn’t have been more photogenic either! It’s hard to get a good one with them all spread out, but they were posing for us perfectly! Except for my poor picture taking skills when it came to Trav’s pic, you can blame me on that one!
