Made it out to Pool 11 today and fared well. With myself, my older brother, Matt, my fishing buddy Nick, and grampa, we ended up each getting our 6 fish limit. Hoorrayy! Did a lot of sorting, as the size tended towards small. Our biggest fish were 18 inchers and the run of the mill saugers ranged between 14-16. Fished hard and now I have a nice pile of fresh fillets. The freezer was getting a little barren with it being a slow fall thus far. Most were caught on jigs and ringworms. I had my best luck on a 3/8ths blue sparkle Hutch head and a purple/pink tail ringworm. Hopefully things are just picking up! Cheers and tight lines, Steve.

P.S. For some reason, some chunky ring perch decided to play ball, too. So, yeah, caught 3 nice perch as well.

    Kinda windy today I’m guessing?

It’s too late for me to make it down for dinner tonight, but let me know the next time!

What depth were you finding them in Steve?

Will do Brian! It’s nice, once we got done cleaning fish at grampa’s farm, grandma was up in the house making dinner. Nothing like grandma cooking, I don’t know what she puts in her casserole, but it isn’t healthy. I had to put on a pair of sweatpants after dinner. My jeans didn’t quite fit.

As far as depth, we were targeting a transition from 20 to 14 feet and found most of them in 14-16 feet. When the bite died, we slide a little deeper and pick up a few more. As far as the wind, it wasn’t terrible, not Saugerama windy, but close. The temps down here were beautiful, though. That south wind brought with it some nice temps.
