anyone every thrown small bottom bouncers from shore with spinners? it seems like it was be a pain to cast out but it seems like it could give the fish something else to see other than plastic all day.

i also have been toying around with a dead stick next to me when i’m out.

egg sinker above a swivel, 2 ft of line with a floating jighead and minnow. been catching smaller ones with this method although i’m not really casting far out.

just looking for some new ideas.

I’ve not tried the methods you mentioned…possibilities and trying new stuff always keeps fishing fresh for me. Give it a whirl!

One thing I do know from many nights bank fishing over the last two weeks: too heavy a jig was no good. Tumbling 1/16 and 1/8 hair jigs just off bottom turned in the biggest and most fish. That’s just what they wanted.

    Tomorrow…might be different deal!

low water here on 16 has made me go down to the 1/8oz jig.

Try a small no-roll sinker and a small circle hook. Use the smallest size of each that you can get away with and just pick up the rod after it hooks the fish. Works pretty slick.

Run a planer board out… with a glow stick on the tattle.

I put a slip float on the line[no stopper] and then tie a drop shot rig. The float helps keep it vertical and aids in locating the line. The drop shot part keep the bait near the bottom.Works decent from shore when the depth varies quite a bit.
