Anyone doing any good catching walleye or saugers on Pool 16 in Davenport? Or I hear they were biting on Pool 15 in Davenport also?

I there a few weeks ago and we were getting a few on wingdams with cranks. Also was on pool 15 but not for long because Clinton was close and I am much more familiar with that pool. Did ok on 15 and 16, but 14 was better. Haven’t been there in 2 weeks, though. Was up on pool 11 just last weekend, and I must say that the bite is fairly strong there, just a little note in case you felt like traveling a bit.

Thanks for the reply. I might have to go try some spots this weekend. As far as Clinton goes, my wife is from there and everytime we’re in town I wanna fish it but we don’t own a boat right now and I don’t know of any spots from shore to fish so I always decide not to

Yeah, a boat is a definite must have for that pool. I’ve found that lots of the fish you catch are in the slot, which I don’t have a problem with whatsoever. I did catch 3 the one day we were up there that were only 17 to 18 inches. Perfect for the skillet! Plus we got a nice bonus northern on a wingdam and a toad of a largemouth bass, which are both happily swimming today.
