Couple small resosvoirs around, otherwise Missouri river or sakakawea. Great town and area small pond by Bowman use to be good for perch.

Lots of shore fishing spots on Sakakawea and near Missouri river dam. Might be a little bit of a drive. I’m sure Bismarck area has plenty of fishing opps.

It doesn’t look like any walleye fishing close by on the bright side fall is about here and there should be some good pheasant ground in the area. If you find some good ground and need someone with a couple dogs to come and help let me know . Good luck with the move.

Thanks for all the help guys. This will give me a good start on places to look into. Funny that you knew I’m moving out there for work. I’ll be working for a guy by the name of Jim Tolbies. From what I’ve been told he fishes LOW for eyes and does fairly well using downriggers.

Your name sounds familiar and being a carpenter going to ND i just assumed. Did you used to work at Timberland?

This is where I would look. I grew up in Bismarck. Lots of fishing around but didn’t go out west much. Sakakawea is a great lake for fishing.

Garrison dam tail race can be fished all year and is out of the wind! the dam is about 1.5 hours away from Dickinson.
Fort Peck is about 3 Hrs and has some HOGS, go to the Gary’s website (the next bite) do a search on Fort Peck.
