Hello everyone! I just got back from an outing in Davenport, and I must say the action wasn’t hot and heavy, but with some detirmination and hardwork, we put a few in the boat. Our best bite came on windams throwing cranks. My buddy just got a new Minnkota with an Ipiliot on it, and I must say that thing is MONEY!! We would pull up to a wingdam, lock the spot, and throw cranks with no worries about where the boat was going, it simply stayed exactly where it should. I was very impressed. Anyway, no photos because nothing really photo worthy. Just some decent saugers and a 5 pound flathead. I figure with the weather getting a little more tolerable and the water starting to stabilize, the bite should get better. Tight lines and good night!

i assume the bite around crdit island and the mouth of the rock are going to get good quick with the falling river levels

Yeah it was pretty dead today, only managed 18 walleye and 4 sauger in about 45 minutes on p15.

Psst, screw the wingdams, fish the rock banks! (they are chasing shad up on the banks around arsenal island)
