My friend and hit the lake this afternoon looking for some eaters. Within 2 min of getting to our first spot we had a 16″ sauger. The day just got better from there. We had steady action on smaller eyes and saugers any where from 18 to 10′ with the biggest being caught between 10-13′. My partner was getting tired of the 15-16″s and wanted to try spot 2 for some bigger fish. I was happy to be on fish, but its his boat. So we motor up to our #2, and my jig didnt hit bottom. After a decent fight that seemed to take way to long he netted this 27.75″ eye for me. My buddy snapped a quick pic with his phone as my camera was in the truck. About 5 min later the storm we had been watching to the north hit. So we headed to shore to wait it out and ended up ending the day with it, after snapping a couple more pics after grabbing my camera. Great day on the water with this nice eye, the jumbo perch were also biting as well as the occasional smallie.

The bulk of our fish where caught on the WI side between Pepin and Stockholm. The bite is supposed to be good from Roushen (?) park, the south side of Lake City to the pier. All fish where caught on a jig and crawler.
