In the 1970s, F4 Phantoms would come absolutely screaming up the Mississippi valley by Wabasha. Low, fast, smokey and LOUD. Not sure what they were doing but as a kid it was awesome to watch.

Ripley is training again they were low flying last night. I live up cross and usuaully twice a month we buzzed by some cargo planes at tree top levels around the eveing. Once and a while during the day which is cool to see.

We had a really cool experience on Saturday out on Superior with a low-flying Fighter doing some maneuvers. Kinda tough to see as he was in and out of the clouds a bunch, but looked a lot like F-35 from the glimpses we got. Sure could hear him up there!

I got to meet one of those pilots (Cooter). We met during a late ice fly-in trip to Oak Island. Super cool dude.

He said he’ll do a low altitude buzz over my job site in Two Harbors if I ask yay

I think I read the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth is doing joint training with some European F-35 squadron (Maybe Norwegian?), so thats probably what you saw – awesome!
