External GPS for HB

    As many of you may remember, I have stated before how I was dissatisfied with my GPS functionality on my 788 HD DI with the internal GPS antenna. I picked up a AS GPS HS external puck last week.

    WOW, what a difference. In the house my 788 would search for minutes upon minutes and never achieve a signal. With the external puck, I had an excellent signal in under 15 seconds.

    Agreed, put the same puck on my lund when I upgraded all my electronics this spring. Much faster acquisition and accuracy. Even in my garage where the internals either couldn’t get signal, or very poor accuracy at best, the external has no issues.
