for the 3rd time this week… Yes you will probably need an extension
Needed one on my ION drilling for tip=ups. Also forecasting 6-10″ of snow by Friday morning.
February 5, 2019 at 8:38 am #1832619I don’t see a post on the first page about extensions….
Thanks for the update.
February 5, 2019 at 8:52 am #1832621Well, looks like I owe you a apology for being grumpy. It must have been on Bookface I answered that question over and over. Its February in MN. Almost all lakes that froze before Christmas, will need an extensions. it was -35 degrees for almost 3 days last week.
Good luck, report back with what you catch!
February 5, 2019 at 9:12 am #1832629All good! Will do, I was up there mid December out of Hunters and did well. This trip is more of a get together then a fishing trip so my expectations are not to high.

I’m sorry but this is an online forum. Apologies won’t be tolerated.
I look forward to this topic every year. Sometimes the response are hilarious.
Red EyePosts: 929February 6, 2019 at 8:33 am #1832869Was fishing the mud Saturday. No extension needed. And I really doubt it made 6 more inches of ice this week
February 9, 2019 at 8:34 am #1833924I was fishing on Weds and didn’t need an extension. The top of the slush pile was about 6” from the handles of the Strikemaster 40v. I don’t even own an extension, and I was cutting thru 36” last season. Some squats will do us all some good!!
February 12, 2019 at 8:02 am #1834637Went out of Macs Friday/Saturday. We are getting close but no extension needed. Ended up with 5 for the weekend. 4 Friday and 1 Saturday.
February 14, 2019 at 4:06 pm #1835556Out on Ottertail the last two days and didn’t need the extension.
