    I just built out a 8″ pistol bit on a 36V Metabo HPT drill and was very happy with how it performed on 30″ of ice. I would say it is definitely faster than my father’s Ion G2 but the non drill options are going to last longer on a single battery because the batts are so much larger.
    I went overboard and replaced the disk with a K-drill float simply for aesthetics and put a Deep Freeze quick connect on it.
