While your dusting off your boat this weekend (’cause I know you won’t be fishing on the river), check to make sure you have the proper sticker on the side of your boat.
The CO’s and Water Patrols will be out in force at least on P4 and every year there’s a bunch that get a ticket because of expired registration.
The LEO’s just need to see the color of your sticker. If it’s the wrong color, you’ll be meeting our friends in uniform shortly.
I will add that the WI water patrol has been allowing you to buy your registration through your smartphone while on the water to avoid a ticket. I’m not sure about the MN Leo’s though.
It’s just too darn easy to buy them over winter and think they’ll be affixed in the spring… Trust me, I know this for a fact! LOL!
