Everts Bucket Contest ~ Winner!

    The Saturday, March 21st 2015 and very first BUCKET CONTEST at Everts Resort was won by……(Drum Roll Please)……

    Jim Koehn with a tanker walleye weighing in at 10.4 pounds and released.
    Yes that’s Ido’s own Mojogunter, Jim’s fishing partner.

    Jim’s fish was caught near the “Y” in 20 FOW using a Flicker Shad.

    There were 92 Bucket Contest entries bringing in the total BUCKET purse to $460.00.

    The rules for the BUCKET Contest held out of Everts Resort each Saturday are:
    * $5.00 entry fee
    * Weigh in your largest walleye anytime between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
    * The walleye must be alive.
    * Largest walleye weighted at the resort in the contest takes home the contents of the bucket.
    * 100% payout.

    Congratulations Jim on being the very first Bucket Contest winner and a very nice looking walleye memory!!

    I will have to book a trip cat fishing with you this summer. It was nice to meet Kerry too. Sorry I had to rush off to watch my son play basketball.

    Does this contest run every Saturday? Does this include night fishing?

    Every Saturday from 6 am to 6 pm until further notice.

    Since there is a 100% pay out, the name has been changed to The Fishermen’s Bucket Benefit.

    Hey, that looks like the fish that was tied up for a few weeks by those guides looking to make a big fish brochure!
