everglades fishing for snook

    Got down to Everglades City my guide Ned Small put me on Snook. What a blast power runs and jumps caught six biggest about six Lbs. I got snookered. We were 15 miles out in the backwaters of the Everglades wild. The mangrove trees line the shore had to skip the lure under them as the snook were in the shade.     Any of them keeper size? I think 28 inches or bigger? BK and I have done this trip with a different guide. I’ve done it twice and would do again.

    I didnt measure them all the fish I released. But two were close to 28″ or more fun battle.

    I never kept any but did get one keeper size. The guide was thrilled with keeper size. It was a benchmark for him I guess. They had been fished down so bad.
