I was cleaning out my trailcam drive on my computer when I stumbled back upon this. Thought is was pretty cool at the time and figured I would share. I’m in a treestand 25yrds away on the left side out of view from the camera.
Doe came out and peed…..then walked off with a bunch of yearlings. Minutes later I spotted this young buck walking out of the woods at about 400+ yrds out with his nose in the air. I thought for sure somehow he winded me, as he was down wind.
With his nose in the air, he shifted his head side-to-side, put his nose to the ground, and walked. Not only walked directly towards me, he skipped staying on any trails and just marched directly through the tall grass and everything thing else in the way. Jumped a fence, and continued directly to where this doe peed at.
Not in the video was his reaction after sniffing around. Once he smelled around again, he started snorting and grunting. I guess he was an anxious buck screaming “I’m coming”
