Had yesterday off and was going to Milacs to try and hit a few musky’s, reports of it being windy up there had us try Minnetonka instead (ya I know..whoosy’s) so we spent probably 8+ hours wandering Tonka and raised one 3# northern.
We started by Carsons bay and hit quite a few spots after that.

Is anybody hitting them on this lake?

I think I heard the Musky pro tournament was on Tonka in Oct and didn’t do well either..???

    Anybody catching them??

I fished 10 hours on last Friday, and had a pretty SLOW day. I don’t know if it is weather, water temps, conditioning or me. That lake has me by the you know whats.

The only one we seen was in about 3-4′ of water too, threw everything we could think of and not even a follow.
We hit from 1′ to 30′ but mostly shallow.

Tough fishing..whew..beautiful day though and was nice to be out there anyway.

I’d almost forgot the shacks that are on that lake..whoa!

Ditto. With the foliage gone you can see quite a few of those “shacks”. Some of them seem to always be under construction or re-modeling every time I’m out.The ones that crack me up are the “boat houses” that completely dwarf my little home. Go to Bing maps sometime and look at some of the houses and properties around there……. What do these people do?
