I will be fishing a muskie lake next weekend in northern Minnesota that I know has good night fishing in the summer.

Do you think it be a good idea to try night fishing this lake next weekend?

Assuming it is, what would be a good selection of techniques/baits to use?

And does it matter what time of night at all? i.e. are the first few hours of light better than the small hours?

Thanks in advance for your input…

It would help if you told me what lake your going to be on Just messin with ya!

The fish are still active and will eat at night. Top water baits will still work well. Big blades will work well too. Big double 10’s or spinner baits would be a good choice after dark, just slow them way down

As far as picking a time, look at the majors and minors and sun up and sun down, thats where I would focus my attention. I hope your not heading to Lake Bemidji as its truning and it looks like pea soup.

    Good luck up north

I am planning on a little after dark fishing tonight myself
