Last night @ moon rise

    Alex came so close to closing the deal on his first lunge. We had active fish as soon as we hit the lake, 3rd cast we had our first follow. 5 casts later we had a different fish up at the side of the boat. We had about 15 minutes of fast action seeing a total of 4 fish and Alex boating a pike. Then that window slammed shut! We decided to troll and Alex hit all the hot spots We did some open water passes with no action. Alex was watching the graph telling me where all the crappies were at. He also laid claims to my nasty ranger hat, he told me its his lucky hat now. It was a lot of fun to have him in the boat with me last night, even better that our first 15 minutes showed some very active fish. Were going back again tonight according to my guide

    He will get one soon with the way its picking up! If thats the lake that it looks like I can see my place in the background of the pike pic!

    Between driving on the lake ice fishing and now driving the boat trolling, I think Bob doesn’t have to worry about a thing or Alex has a future of being a guide.

    Great job Alex.
    You are growing to be quite a young man, you have a mouth full of teeth now, driving dads boat, catching gaters and almost getting a ski on your line. Keep it up and listen to your dad, he is teaching you right…

    Way good! Hang in there Alex, good things are going to happen.

    Need to get a bigger windshield to protect that TV.

    Always a great thing when the kids like to hang around the boat!
