Fall Pike destinations

Trophy Hunting time is rapidly approaching!! Where will you be looking for the trophy’s? Any trips planned?

hit vermillion… trophy pike and musky! i’ll be out there breaking ice this fall if i can get a fishing partner who has some motivation haha

I’ll be on Namakin all fall. Far to many Muskie guys on Vermilion for me.

With the MN DNR failed attempt to establish Mille Lacs as a natural muskie fishery, and all those big fish are now dying off, I’ll be chasing monster pike on the pond, since they are making a great comback!

Interesting. This is the first I have heard of that,is that the position of the DNR.

i saw a statistic that would say that is a truth. the site is muskiefirst.com and the stat had a shart basically showing that the muskies peaked in 2007 on mille lacs and have been on a steady decline since then. the stat is based on reputable fishing guides reporting their catches over 50inches each year. in 2007 i think the # was 200something just reported by guides. look it up it’s an interesting fact.
