well folks another all nighter pays off big time with a 45incher that fell to a hog wobbeler. my first topwater musky ever…i’ve missed many because i set the hook too soon but this fish just smashed that bait like no other! had 2 more massive strikes on the same bait but sometimes fish just aren’t too coordinated on topwater. good luck and keep fishing, it’s worth losing sleep over.

Good stick-to-it mindset!!! Always love fishing after dark. I have been on my favorite lake after dark and have not connected yet this summer. Fished last Thursday night from 8:30 til 12:30 covering the setting moon, nothing to show for that trip. Then fished on Sunday until 11:30, liked the new spot I tried, just need to try it some more, especially with the water moving here like it is. Lots of fish on the graph, just nobody interested in eating.

I had a friend get a 47″ off a large deep clear lake in the area close to the moonset last week. With moonset falling after midnight now, how close to the set have your active fish been???

    Keep it up!!!

best action believe it or not is between 8 and 10 or 1030. the fish are lazy all day so far this year and they really turn on for a short window somewhere between that time. fishing after dark is awesome cuz it always seems u have the water all to yourself.

How many more fish do you need to catch in order to put a full smile on your face, I saw a half smile, so I’m only thinking maybe 1 or 2 more

    Congrats on another nice fish
