I got a chance to get out the other evening for a few hours. Dead calm and HOT was what we had for weather. The fish had been on the move all day and when I met up with my good friend Max he had already put a 47 incer in the boat. We hit our first spot and it did not take long and I was reaching for the net, Max’s 2nd fish of the day was a beautiful little lunge. We moved a few fish during the daylight hours but when dark came was when things fired up. We had a few spots we knew were holding fish and that is where we focused our attention. The bugs got to the point where it looked like it had snowed in the boat, they were everywhere. We powered though the bugs and we were rewarded with another beautiful fish, that ate boatside on a bucktail. Talk about chaos in the dark, fish hits and comes up out of the water, Max gets the net and in the bag she goes. We got a few quick photos and back in the water she went. It was a great way to cap off a fantastic day on the water, 3 fish in the boat, I am just sorry I was not there for the first one Max boated.
