Looking to purchase a net to use on Canada trips targeting Northern Pike. Had a close call last year where a 45.5″ Pike wouldn’t fit in our current net. Was looking for some advice on a net that would be adequate for fish up to 50″…. There are some size restraints due to transport, so looking for the smallest net possible that can still do the job. Thanks.

If you need to save on space I’d look into a stowmaster they make a HUGE Muskie sized net that takes up less than half the room as my big beckman

The Stowmaster “muskie” size net would definitely meet your needs but at about $170 is pretty spendy… Frabill’s Hiber Net is only about $70 but lacking for a big fish like you mentioned. Cabela’s has a Salmon net that’s 48″ deep with a telescoping handle that may be a good compromise between size, cost and space saving.
