    I won an Abu Garcia rod and reel
    7’0″ Medium Heavy 1/4-11/4 oz lure 10-25 lbs line
    Abu Garcia 6600BCX Reel ambassadeur.
    seems a little light for muskie gear
    Does anyone have suggestions on what type of lures I can run with this set up.

    Sounds like a descent Northern rod… otherwise smaller inline bucktails (NOT for the popular cowgirls of today)… Now you’ve just got to get some line on her and hook in to a good one!!

    Small bucktails and maybe small cranks, but at olny 1.5oz rateing you’d br pushing it with any thing.

    Good pike/heavy bass,small bucktail/creature set up,X Raps, creepers ect you can get away with but not much more. Or a good bottom bouncer rod/leadcore set up for walleyes.

    Personaly I run H,XH and XXH for all my muskie rods. The reel will get you by for awhile, I’d keep it as a spare/loaner since I’m not a fan of Abu’s round so called muskie reels since they started making them in Korea.

    But hey you won it so your not loosing anything by using it..
