She is different than most our fish color and pattern wise. Funny part is my partner had her follow 1 1/2 hours later almost a mile from where I caught her. She had a big boil/sore on her side, we know it was the same fish, and she was semi hot on his bait, same bait I caught her on.

Couldnt sleep last night so I hooked up the boat and hit the water at 3:30am. At 3:45am I found who was causing the sleeplessness.

Taped out at 48.5″. Self timer photo and I give myself 5 seconds and then she goes back in so the quality isnt the greatest.

That’s a great self timed photo, especially at dark. And nice fish.

My secret is to set the camera on the but seat while the fish is in the net. I hit the pic button and after 3 seconds it takes 5 pics at 1 second apart thus the reason it caught me lifting the muskie out of the water. The other 3 pics were bad. I only hope for one good photo and sometimes I end up with none. I just try to not fish alone but I cant find a guy who cant sleep, can tell his wife he is busy on a spur of the moment and still come home to open arms. Sorry, this is a picture thread:) I will go to the trip swap forum and start my personals ad.

Wow, nice fish. Did he measure the girth down by the tail? It looks bigger than a 23 inch girth. Congrats.

Had to try a new lake tonight. 48″ on 2nd cast. Looks like a peanut compared to that 53″. Nice fish! Plungepool and Bob, we’ll have to hook up.

    Thanks Jake,
yeah that Toro is an awesome reel! Now he just needs to get a better rod and he will be set. He has the fever now though and is already talking about a trip to Thorne.
