I’ll get this party started with a beautifully-colored 33″ fish from the Hayward WI area. Most of the ‘lunge in our lake are green/brown with bars….first spotted fish I’ve seen there. CPR, of course.
I wished I could have added the photo I didn’t take of my nephew from just before the New Year with his low 30’s” fish. Both of those fish are gorgeous!!! Nice and clean with beautiful markings!!!
I would like to know if it is a leech lake strian. they have been puting them in for 7 yrs now. If it is a leech lake strian they are growing fast. most of the leech lake strian have there back left fin clipped. This one has all it’s fins. they did put some leech lake strian in with out the fins clipped in 2005.The muskys are bitting good on the madison chian. Been out 4 time and we boated 5 muskys . one every time out so far.
First one in the lund in 2010! Maybe its a good sign they want to come aboard even before the season starts. Rapala DT6, a must for every musky angler!!
After chasing musky for 4 years I finally caught my first one….too bad I didn’t catch it while targeting them. I caught this fish in Northern Minnesota 1 week ago while targeting pike. Oops!! Hit the tape at 46 inches, quick photo and back in the water. Never been so excited in my life.
Here is a pike to add to the mix. I was up in NW Ontario last week on the English River system and managed my PB pike. It was 43 inches and a very healthy fish, not one of those skinny spring time fish you sometimes get. It was caught on a Sebile Koolie Minnow 138. Overall for our group of 10 we managed 5 pike over 40 inches so not a bad week at all.
