I just ordered a power Pole shallow water anchor system for my Tuffy. I’ve been out many times in the wind and had wished I had one. well took the plunge today and got a GREAT deal on a 8ft sportsman model.
my question is do any of you guys have or use one for your pike and musky fishing?

I’ve used the system 4 years ago way before they were popular in the mid-west. My friend has one one his bay boat and we used it alot while fishing snook, redfish, jacks and trout in Tampa- Tarpon springs area of Florida. The system is AWESOME!!You’ll love it! I’ve been looking at the 8′ pro model for my Ranger 518. It’s unbelieveable how it can keep you stationary in high wind and currents. Its like standing on a dock! Truely! I’m going to order the optional adaptor mount so it will mount to the existing transom bolts on the outboard. (Just can’t make myself drill any more holes in my Ranger). For a $100 more ya can get the remote system too. Then ya can control the ups and down with a key fob like control around your neck or on your belt. They are #1

If I had the money I’d be all over one of these. I’m thinking power pole plus inside weed edge = awesome!

hey guys thanks for the replies. I got the basic 8ft sportsman model which is the basic budget model. one switch on the dash. thats all I wanted. Came to around 1000$ shipped. if you ever priced these out they can get real pricey. start adding options and the price goes nuts.
I’ve had many days in shallow water that I would have liked to stop and work a spot or sit down and retie. with the wind this has been dificult. So with a little research and some beer I took the plunge. I think I will get some real good use out of it. will come in handy livebaiting pike this spring. forget the anchor and rope deal! And of course the just sitting in a nice spot drinking beer will be a good place for it!!
me and a buddy did a lot of research, best deal “hydrilla gear” outa florida. tell him the iceman sent you.

I was looking for a Power Pole for my boat a few weeks ago. There are 2 local dealers in my area. I wanted an 8′ Pro model with the stealth pump, 2 wireless remotes & an adapter plate to mount the Power pole on my jack plate rather than having to screw it to my transom. Without the adapter plate one place wanted $2400 & the other wanted $2000. That was for a transom mount install. They both said that an adapter plate for my boat would cost me an additional $200 or so.

I almost had a stroke twice in 1 day!

I did some research & talked to a bunch of people & finally I came across a pretty sweet deal. I ended up buying a 8′ Pro with the stealth pump, 2 wireless remotes & an adapter plate to fit my boat for $1700 shipped to my house. It took me a little under 2 hours to install it by myself!

If anyone else is looking for a Power Pole, my guy has plenty of them in stock. He has the lowest prices bar none. If you can find a power pole cheaper, he will beat the price, guaranteed. Just send him the ad showing the lower price. He has 8′ & 6′ in both the Pro & Sportsman models. He ships anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Feel free to email me if you would like his contact info. My email address is: [email protected]

Finally got it done… started easter sunday and finished it up last friday. ended up ordering an outboard mount because tuffy was sealed up pretty good to get at the bolts in the inside. (got a used one for half off) Install was easy except for the bracket and running wires… get in water less than 7 ft and put this down, you are not going anywhere! great quality product that works as described. any questions you guys got I’m around…
